School Shooting in Newtown CT

Today in my home state of CT there was a tragedy that took place in the town of Newtown CT that is unthinkable and unimaginable. A gunman opened fired at the Sandy Hook Elementary School. He took the lives of 20 children and 8 adults.

As a mother all I wanted to was hug my daughter as tight as I could and give her as many kisses I as possibly could place on her small face. It was heart wrenching to think that you send your kids off everyday with not a thought that some as tragic as this could ever happen. School is suppose to be a save environment where children are happy and are free to play with their friends without a care in the world.

Now there are innocent lives that have been affected both those of the parents that lost a child and those that had to endure the events that took place.

What would make a person....a  grown adult...open fire on a group of innocent children. What in your life is so bad that you want to ruin the lives of others?
There are SO Many questions but not enough answers.

We here in the state of CT are still in awe of the situation that took place today. We are still trying to make sense of the madness of this gunman.  We are holding our children tight and remebering to tell them "I love you" each moment that we can get.

Please pray for the families of this tradegy.

Where have I been? It has been awhile since my last post....

So it has been awhile since I have made a post. The reason is because I am going back to school online at the University of Phoenix to get my MBA. I am very excited to finally have found the time and focus to go back to school to get my MBA.

The reason I am going back to school is for a few reasons:

1.   It is always something that I wanted to do.
2.   It is not for gain at work. This is more for making myself marketable for change for the future.
3.   My daughter is about to be 6 years old this year and I felt that it was a good time to go back to school. She is not a baby anymore, a little less needy and it is great because we can sit at the table together at night and do “homework” which she enjoys.

So, I am sure that many of you are wondering how I am going back to school, working full time, and raising a family.

The truth be told it is not as hard as you think. That is why I went the road of online school program. 

I am an early riser so I do some work in the morning when the house is quiet and my daughter is sleeping. Also she goes to bed around 7:30pm each night so I have time to study and work on my assignments after she goes to bed.

It is more challenging on the weekends when I have a paper that is due, but my mother is great and will watch her for a few hours when I need to work on schoolwork.

Overall, I am thrilled to be going back to school and am proud of myself for taking the steps to get my MBA. Who knows…I might even go back for my Doctorate! We will see.
